This is a mid-fifteenth-century Book of Hours of the Use of Utrecht, written in Dutch using the Geert Groote translation. Large penwork initials and penwork borders mark the main textual divisions. The book contains eight full-page miniatures in ink and colored wash, with limited gilding for the haloes. These miniatures are tipped-in and do not relate iconographically to the portions of the text that they introduce, and as such were likely produced separately. The miniatures on 61v, 87v, 125v, 134v, and 234v include explanatory tituli in Dutch.
