Illuminated initials in brushed gold on rectangular red or blue fields; border panels on three sides with fruit, flowers, and acanthus sprays in brushed gold, green, blue, red, often inhabited by grotesques. An ink sketch on fol. d, recto appears to be a preliminary drawing for the miniature on fol. c, verso that preceded it in the original manuscript.
