This Book of Hours was produced in Paris around 1425, and includes fourteen half-page miniatures by an unidentified artist. In addition to its original cycle of miniatures, the book features seven full-page grisaille miniatures by Guillaume (Wilhelm) Vrelant produced around 1470 and inserted into the book at a later date (Saint Anne with the Virgin and Child, fol. 13v; The Visitation, fol. 19v; The Trinity, fol. 24v; Saint Michael Battling a Demon, fol. 37v; The Flight Into Egypt, fol. 46r; Saint Christopher Carrying Christ, fol. 52v; and Saint Bernard, fol. 65v). The manuscript is written in a Gothic semi-quadrata script. Its textual contents consists of a calendar in French (fols. 1r-12v), Gospel Sequences (fols. 14r-18v), the Obsecro te (fols. 20r-23v) and O intemerata (fols. 25r-29r), the Hours of the Virgin for the Use of Paris (fols. 30r-102r), the Penitential Pslams, Litany, and Prayers (fols. 103r-121r), the Hours of the Cross (fols. 121v-124v), the Hours of the Holy Spirit (fols. 125r-128r), the Office of the Dead (fols. 128v-176v), as well as the Fifteen Joys of the Virign and the Prayers to the Five Wounds of Christ, in French (fols. 176v-186v). Lastly, it contains notes concerning its earliest known owners, the Morot family of Notre Dame de la Dehours, in Paris, from the late seventeenth century (fols. 187r-v).
