This compact manuscript is an illuminated Book of Hours for the Use of Rome, written in Flanders in the last quarter of the fifteenth century and including northern French and Flemish saints in the litany. Each of the major text divisions opens with a full-page illuminated miniature facing a page of text with a full floral border. A hymn has been added to the front and prayers to the back of the volume, by later hands.

S. XVII calf, gilt-tooled decoration with fleur-de-lis designs. Initials "F.S." stamped in gold on spine. Gilt edges. Third front end leaf is a leaf of vellum from a manuscript.

Note describing transfer of the book from Petrus Jensenius to Gerardus de Bois on December 10, 1610. Signature and stamp of John Frederick Lewis. On fol. 1r beneath calendar is the ex libris of Regina Joannae.
