note (history)
Notes in dossier state that this is a Franco-Norman manuscript, use of Amiens. Another note in the dossier raises the possibility that this manuscript is a nineteenth-century forgery (the decoration may appear later than the script, which is authentic).
provenance
Initials GM, GY and BL appear throughout the manuscript, along with motto "Je me plains..." (f. 184v). Bookplate of Francis Jack (1787-1880), second earl of Kilmorey. Purchased from Lathrop C. Harper, 1922.
