The date of the manuscript is indirectly based on the calendar. The English saints point to the House of York and especially to Margaret of York's marriage to Charles the Bold in 1468. Localisation based on decoration and miniatures
provenance
According to a note on the flyleaf, the manuscript was owned by the Irish Benedictine Dames from Ipres in 1823. In 1835, King William I of the Netherlands (1772-1843) offered the manuscript to the KB as a gift
