Display name: PleaseHistorical formulaic language & traditions of formulating
Description: The project "Historical formulaic language and traditions of formulating" (HiFoS) is dedicated to the cross-epochal investigation of the development of formulaic word combinations in German in their dynamics and sociocultural diversity and wants to close this research gap based on corpus with the help of modern technologies for metalinguistic labeling of data. In this way, a piece of German cultural history from the 8th to the 17th century is made available promptly in the form of a database to the scientific community and the broad non-scientific public. The project has been carried out since July 1st, 2007 in the Department of Older German Philology (Prof. Dr. Claudine Moulin) of Department II at the University of Trier. The start-up funding from the research fund of the University of Trier in 2004 made it possible to carry out the first preliminary work.
